Alpha helps create a space for honest conversation around some of life’s biggest questions. It is designed to provide participants an opportunity to connect with one another while providing the opportunity to share thoughts, ideas, and opinions in a safe and caring environment. Alpha helps bring people together while providing the chance to encounter Jesus. Each meeting (held in the basement of the Ashland Legion at 16th and Silver) begins at 7pm with a communal dinner (provided), followed by a 30 minute video and small group discussion. People with a no faith, a faith background of any kind, and practicing Catholics are all invited to open or deepen their relationship with Jesus throughout this 11-week course. Consider inviting a friend or come yourself!

THE ASHLAND MOBILE FOOD PANTRY - Jeanie Stewart, 402-430-9357. The Food Bank of Lincoln cooperates with Ashland community agencies to sponsor a mobile distribution site at the American Lutheran Church in Ashland every first Thursday of each month. Volunteers are needed at 2:00 – 3:00 to help unload the food items from the Food Bank of Lincoln truck, and at 3:00 – 4:00 to help distribute food items to people needing food support. Many need assistance carrying their food items to their cars.

Twenty-four hour Eucharistic Adoration will follow the 8am Mass on First Fridays of the month. Benediction will take place the following day, Saturday, at 8am. Hourly sign-ups are available by calling the rectory at 402-944-3554, or you are welcome to drop in to pray at any point.

All women invited! The Altar Society promotes fellowship between all ladies of the parish. The meetings provide an opportunity to involve and inform participants of current issues and their hidden acts throughout the year keep the parish running smoothly and feeling welcome! The St. Mary Altar Society meets the second Thursday of the month at 7pm during the school year. 6:30pm Mass precedes each meeting!
