Father/son program to be March 15 LINCOLN (SNR) – A father/son program will be presented for 10- to 14-year-old boys and their father (or other supportive male adult) Sunday, March 15, from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the John XXIII Diocesan Center, 37th and Sheridan, in Lincoln. The program explores God’s plan for growing up and becoming a man. Topics include: the physical and emotional changes that accompany puberty, growth in virtue, a brief presentation of the functions of male and female reproductive systems, appreciation and reverence for the gift of sexuality, and a confidential question-and-answer segment. The purpose of the program is to foster communication between parent and child. The program is presented by a physician and other men who have set high moral standards for themselves and their families.
